That means layout stories, both big and small, collections, operating tips, how to use the new control systems, building layout tips, how to fix things, and we've always liked a little humor, so expect the unexpected. In our first issue, we feature three layouts - two Hi-Rail and one Postwar. Using our spectacular special effects, we present Lionel's military and space toys like you've never seen them before. In the "What's new?" department, we show how you can operate Lionel trains with an iPad, and we visit TW TrainWorx, Roger Farkash's new studio, where we see layouts being built, and persuaded Roger to reveal a few of his mountain-making secrets. Plus a lot more.

In volume 1 of the short lived revival, it starts with the layout of Joe gurdak, narrated by Tom McComas. Which includes a huge collection of O gauge trains such as the lionel lines 2-6-2 2026, some catalog covers for post-war lionel and late 90s mth, and lots of modern era engines both steam and diesels. On the Pennsylvania railroad, southern Pacific, Chicago and alton, New York central, and many countless others. Joe also has a huge collection of buildings all over the layout. Not to mention an elevated subway system, a building that was shown on HBO's the sopranos with the late Jim gandolfini, and look closely for a skunk. For power, joe used the MTH Z-4000 transformer for the accessories, and lionel bricks for the tracks. During the still images of the layout building, look closely at the workout machine. Joe is also a big fan of both the NYC and the Pennsylvania railroad. Not to mention the electric rectifier, as well as 25 GG1s. The segment closes with the sounds of present MTH & lionel which includes the vision line Santa fe 2-10-10-2 number 3000 and the Pennsylvania 0-8-8-0 number 8183. You won't believe how many freight cars that Pennsylvania 2-10-4 number 6479 is hauling.

During the intermission, there is a special effects segment where the iwo jima is re-opened but closed due to the government shutdown.

Next there is an instructional segment on how to set up your lionel layout, operate the accessories, and operate your locomotive with an iPad. Joe stachler does the narration for this segment.

During the intermission, there is the missile launching test area in iran. Again, note the special effects, which includes the explosion.

Next, there is a visit to the postwar layout of the marciano brothers. Again Joe Stachler does the narration for this segment. The boys have every lionel accessory for the postwar era, as well as colorful diesels with battery operated horns, colorful cars, die-cast steam engines with smoke and air whistles in the tender, plus the silver version of the union Pacific alco FPA4 passenger set. For power, they used 4 ZW transformers. 2 for the lights and accessories, and 2 more for the trains. They also have a Marx version of the union Pacific M-10000. Many of the accessories on their layout has lionel and American flyer. The locomotives and cars are both stored on the wall, and On the base of the layout. The prized possession is the M-10000 with its own original box from 1934.

During the intermission, a visit to cape Kennedy in Florida is shown. Which includes the 175 rocket launcher, as the rocket and satellite heads For the moon, and the capsule heading For earth.

Part 1 of the New TW design trainworx studio is shown. Again, Joe stachler does the narration for this segment. Clips from lionel nation 1, 3, & 5, Christmas train spectacular, and a lionel Christmas part 2. Special struck are shown. The locomotives includes 2 articulated steam giants that their real counterparts are with us today: union Pacific big boy 4014, and southern Pacific cab forward 4294.
Plus they also have a legacy version of the Texas special. The company is also building a layout For a hobby store in Lancaster county Pennsylvania. Plus, they are also building a 2 rail O gauge layout in double dog bone mode.

Part 2 includes Roger farkash demonstrating the 2 day course on how their rock carving mountains are built. It's also educational For hobbyists who are trying to learn how they're building their own layouts realistically well.

During the intermission, the U.S. Army firing range is shooting their rockets somewhere in Afghanistan.

The final layout in the short lived reboot includes the layout of Bill Rennolds. This segment is narrated by Tom McComas. Bill has before and after photos of adding another floor to his house. He has the Pennsylvania Aerotrain by MTH, a collection of reissued standard gauge tinplate sets, as well as some stock footage from the late talk show host Tom Snyder's layout. Of course Snyder is a decent friend to McComas as he spoke with McComas in 1993, 1995, 2000, and 2002. The engines on Bill's layout includes the Pioneer zephyr from 2004, Baldwin built shark nosed diesels from the Pennsylvania by lionel, even a scale model of the union Pacific Sd70ace number 1995 which was painted in Chicago and northwestern colors. Bill also has an outstanding collection of buildings, and animated accessories. He also has a red R30 subway set painted red that was used in the new York city trainsit authority, a Santa fe, GP38 on freight. For curves, he uses O72 on the outer loop, O63 on the inner loop, and the O54 on the elevated loop. The West side of the layout, includes a carnival. With a working roller coaster. More photos of the layout building are shown, as well as a Pere marquette 0-8-0 steam switcher number 1300 hauling a mixed passenger and freight train together by lionel. For power, Bill uses the lionel legacy command mode, and the MTH DCS. For track, he uses atlas. Bill also has a knowledge on lightening the layout, and collection.

The final intermission of this program shows the 175 rocket launcher yet again, this time it's at the North Korea testing area. Note the language transition. A photograph of the NoKo dictator is shown.

A preview For the TTR reboot volume 2 is shown.

The closing credits show the Santa fe alco FPA4, a Pennsylvania FM trainmaster, and centipede diesel, a legacy 6-8-6, the Milwaukee road Bipolar electric, and Hiawatha from 2006, and the Pennsylvania electric erectifyer.

For the highlights of the first toy train revue video from the spring of 1991, Jim Tuohy talks about the magic mountain display, Tom McComas on Madison Hardware's big move from New York city to detroit, as well as a tour of the lionel archives with John Brady as a tour guide, plus Tom Erhart talks about a custom model of the CB&Q northern.
