In the early 1980's, an ailing New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad was acquired by the growing Delaware Otsego Corp. New money and new ideas led to the repair of the line and a trackage rights agreement over Conrail's Southern Tier. With a contract with Sealand to carry the then new double stack container trains, the Susie Q started to thrive. The stack trains were a big hit with railfans. We are proud to take you back to those exciting days. From Maybrook to Binghamton, lets "Chase those Stacks". One Hour and 22 Minutes running time, maps and light informative narration.

You can not watch simply the 1st 10 to 20 minutes of a video and make a decision on "if it is good or not". You need to watch the entire video, then decide.
This video is a classic case of that. Had I made a decision in the 1st 20 minutes or less, disappointment would have been a good word. The video starts out with some below average quality, even some of the colour is poor to say the least. But... getting further into the video, things improve, and the interest builds, the quality gets better, and the theme of the video becomes more clear and is followed closely.
The Susquehanna is a smaller railroad but with mainline appearance and plenty of great action. The scenery of the region also stands out. A. & R. Productions has done a great job showing this railroad and the work it was doing at the time with stack trains. Well done. Highly rated and recommended.
