They did a good job covering the line. This was during the time they where working on tunnel clearances. A lot of the action east of Glen Lyn was on the Ex Virginian Whitethorne District. This is one of my favorite ones in my library.

Additional remarks by Chase Freeman:
Narration CAN be turned off in special features.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Excellent!
DVD Value: Excellent Value!
Recommend to others? Definitely.

I purchased this DVd as a follow up up to highballs' Elkhorn Grade DVD. It is not a bad DVD, but I am a little disappointed in the overall quality of it, after the great job they did on the Elkhorn Grade DVD. The photo spots could have been better, and a lot of "into the sun" angles were used, which do not anything positive to the program, overall. I really wish highball had scouted down their photo locationas better, rather than "winging it". I know this territory doesn't have the greatest spots to pick from, but more creativity could have been used in the filming of this program. Again, it is not the worst I've seen, but I have to give it a fair rating in my review.....

Additional remarks by Richard Nelson:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? I doubt it.
Image quality: Good.
DVD Value:: Fair.
Recommend to others? Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter.
