The IC, before the giant Canadian National got their hands on it. Right down through the Illinois heartland in Vol. # 1, the North. No, it is not your great scenery if you are not a fan of open farm land, but lots of great train action to be seen. Along with narration, screen graphics are used for information. It's a fine idea that I wish Pentrex used in more of their videos. Excellent Video.

just watched this and vol. 2 last night and I was really impressed seeing the main line of mid America lots of locations and vary informed about all the trains featured in the video I had though about doing the up Marysville sub set but when I found about this one I decided to do this one instead and I really liked this set it's really worth the buy

Excellent viewing recommend DVD, Presented in classic Pentrex with great filming, narration, maps and graphics. The IC was one of my favorite roads to railfan and I hated to see it go, I have been to a lot of the locations in this first vol covering the northern part of the IC and its was nice to see some pf these locations again. Theirs plenty of action with everything from coal trains to intermodial trains , Pentrex gives a good run down on IC's deserve fleet of motive in this volume. Great coverage on a road that didn't get as much attention as many other roads did. I thoroughly enjoyed it a great view.
