Hot Spots 29 Dolton Illinois - CSX Norfolk Southern Union Pacific BNSF IHB Canadian National Canadian Pacific DVD
★★★★★★★★★★3 of 5 (2)
Dolton, Illinois is a major junction some 16 miles south of downtown Chicago. Two east-west double track main lines, IHB & CSX are crossed at grade by a double track north-south main line serving UP & CSX. Traffic can be heavy often with two or more trains in view. NS's molten iron "bottle trains" use the junction. Power from NS, IHB, CN, BNSF, UP CSX, lease units and Amtrak can be seen.
Amazing volume of trains, CSX, NS, UP, BNSF, IHB, CN, CP, the bottle train, locals, stacks, pigs, autoracks and manifests all pound the diamonds of this very busy Chicagoland junction.

I have many Highball videos and they are all very good. What I look for is interesting subjects in unordinary places , the kind of thing you don't see everyday in your hometown. Chicago is a great place to watch train activity and I thought this video might be a little more interesting especially after watching KC and the Bottoms which was awesome. I still enjoyed this video very much and I'm glad I made the purchase.
Hope this review helps you to decide if its right for you.

As much as I would like to leave a positive review, in good conscience I can't do that for this particular Highball DVD. Considering the fact that it was the Chicago area,I expected a lot more action, and various locations. Unfortunately I didn't see that, and the footage that was taken of Dolton was very limited.T he train speeds I'm estimating to be 10 mph max which made for an overall slow paced viewing experience.
