For some reason I wasn't expecting much, but it turned into a great showcase for Colorado's current railroads and transit systems. Several of them I never knew existed! If you're planning a trip to Colorado, then this is DEFINITELY what you want to see what's available. Even if you're not going, it's very interesting stuff and professionally done.

Being a British rail fan, and having toured and ridden most of the trains on this DVD, whilst in Colorado two years ago, and then the "California Zephyr" last year, I thought for this DVD can't be all bad.

There is no bad! It's ALL spectacular!!
The photography is better than average, of course, the scenery is magnificent, and there is all the variety that Colorado railroads have to offer.

This is value wth a capital V. GO AND BUY!!!

Here is a video that will keep the viewers in amazement. Quite a number of scenic tourist trains, and a few mainliners like the Zephyr are seen in this exciting video. Colorado is possibly the most scenic state in the USA, and the state has used the scenic beauty to it's advantage with the trains. In on video we see narrow gauge steam, standard gauge steam, electric street cars (trolleys), standard gauge diesel, and a very exciting cog railway that climbs on 25% grades up to over 14,000 feet above sea level. We see railroads that would be very interesting for the modelers to take notes from. And we learn a great deal about little publicized railroads. Where I live, they are called "hidden secrets". Treasures of a region that needs to be seen. And there is plenty in Colorado. Never having seen Colorado, this video encourages a railfan like myself to want to see it. This is the ultimate video for the railfan in all of us. A superb job by Railway Productions.
