Ever wondered what it was like to ride the rails on the route of the former Rio Grande's Silverton Branch on the Western end of the 4th Division without leaving the comfort of your own house? Well in this program, a special cab ride on one of the former White Pass & Yukon DL-535 diesels which were the final engines constructed by ALCO was made as a camera was attached to the front of the diesel's nose between Durango & Silverton Colorado, covering every inch of the route: the Durango Roundhouse & station area, the Hermosa Water Tower, Elbert Creek Canyon, Rockwood Wye, the Animas River Highline, Tacoma Tank, Cascade Wye, & Downtown Silverton plus other locations along the way that also includes some construction machines clearing a landslide.
