In this nearly 2 hour instructional dvd from either 2002 or 2003, there is the introduction to the components, explaining the differences between conventional and command mode, how to get started in command mode, using the Special remote control, how to add another engine to your layout whether its steam diesel or electric, assemble the track to programming mode, name the engines to the remote, using the soft keys & exclusive sounds, setting up the steam chuff rate and speed limits, not to mention smoke control, but before that, there is the acceleration and deceleration rate, plus there are lots more.

Overall noteworthy Nickel plate road 765 engineer Rich Melvin does an excellent job hosting this instructional video for hobbyists, model railroaders, and of course for all MTH operators and collectors to learn about using the system.

Additional remarks by Steamboy:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Good.
DVD Value: Excellent Value!
Recommend to others? Definitely.
