This DVD is a diesel fans dream , Dick Kindig knew how to get to the scenic spots, place his 16MM camera on a tripod and let the good times roll. No trash shots here, just one great scene after another in perfect light. The cameras rested at mid day and only morning and late afternoon sweet light give us a true time machine of "old school" trains. One of my most viewed DVD titles. I want more of this series, ASAP!

Additional remarks by milw113a:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Excellent!
DVD Value: Excellent Value!
Recommend to others? A "Must Have"!

While this now 30 year old video features Mainline Freights in the early '70s, Un-Retired northern 844 which was renumbered to 8444 due to the Diesels taking the original steam locomotive number until Late May and/or Early June 1989, is shown pulling special trips in Wyoming, Colorado & Even in Nebraska.
