C. Vision Productions takes you to central Wisconsin to visit the small village of Junction City. This is where the Milwaukee Road and the Soo Line once crossed each other over a diamond, giving the town its name. Today, the CN Railway is in charge of movements on both lines. This still makes Junction City a railroading hot spot as it once was in the Soo Line and Milwaukee Road era.

C. Vision cameras capture a variety of movements through Junction City beginning in the Soo Line days of 1979. You will also see several Wisconsin Central movements in 1993 and 2001 including Soo Line Steam locomotive #1003! Exciting CN movements from 2006 to 2008 will keep you entertained for the remainder of the show. Along with a wide variety of CN power, many trains are led with locomotives from the Illinois Central, Grand Trunk, BNSF and some of the remaining Wisconsin Central units. Even more action is captured for you when you add in trackage rights trains from the Union Pacific and detours from the Canadian Pacific!

You are sure to enjoy the trains either pounding the diamond or taking the junctions from one main to another. Two hours of exciting action is featured in Junction City, Wisconsin!

Most of this program was shot during the Winter, which I prefer. Lots of CN Cowl units, including a great shot of a SD50F, all which were retired in Nov. 2008, moving slowly around a curve. Great detail angle. Lots of CN, Some UP and a Few CP. Some ex. WC power shows up as well. Very enjoyable show to watch.

Additional remarks by Charley Mann:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Excellent!
DVD Value: Excellent Value!
Recommend to others? A "Must Have"!

Enjoyed this DVD. Lots of mainline action however too much snow scenes being from Michigan and tired of winters. (smile) Lots of trains whatever the season. Would recommend.
