EMDs SD60 Volume 1 DVD4 of 5 (1)
The SD60 is a six-axle diesel locomotive built by the Electro Motive Division of General Motors from 1984 to 1995.Due to the unreliability of the SD50ís, EMDís creation of the SD60 was a success as many Class One railroads still roster these locomotives today. The 60ís all have a 3,800 horsepower 16-cylinder 710G series EMD prime mover. This was an improvement to the 3,000 horsepower 645ís that were found in the SD40-2ís.

C Vision does a great job in covering the early-model, conventional-cab SD60. Railroads featured include the Soo Line, CP, CN (including a few Illinois Central units in original paint), UP, Norfolk Southern, and finishing up with the NY Susquehanna & Western. Shot primarily in Minnesota, image quality is very good, and shows a variety of weather-conditions. I particularly enjoyed the coverage of Soo Line engines in both paint schemes. Most footage is shot with the "point and shoot" camera technique, but this works well in this dvd, and all footage includes most, if not all, of the trains. Nice job, overall, and a good addition to my collection of vintage power dvd's.
