This, in some respects, is a really good film. It includes looks at such engines as the Crab Orchard and Egyptian #17, Kentucky Central #11, J. Neils Lumber Co. Shay #5, and more. There truly is a diverse collection of locomotives represented here.

However, there is a challenge with putting a production together like this, especially when combining footage from each of the last 25 years - The geography and home area of the producer comes into play, and some years are represented by the same few locomotives running mainline trips through the area. I found that the footage started often trending towards Frisco #1522 and UP #844, among others, that would have repeat entries over many of the years, to the point where I started to go "look, here's 1522 again - here's 844 again." Then a different engine would come up, and I'd look forward to seeing that particular engine shown - and it would be only one scene, and then right back to more 1522 footage.

So in short, there is some very neat footage in this dvd, which makes it worth owning. If you're a fan of #1522 and #844, you'll definitely enjoy this dvd, as there is a bit of a lean towards these two engines in certain places. I do, however, look forward to purchasing another Diverging Clear DVD - now which one to choose...

As an average railfan in america myself, this is really great despite the different cameras throughout the years as well as some locomotives which we never saw in any other railfan video. EX: Reader Railroad 2-6-2 #11. The only Railroad Video Producer who had the most footage of the little engine? Greg Scholl Himself.

Additional remarks by Steamboy:
Narration: Could have used more.
Would kids enjoy this? Yes.
Image quality: A little rough around the edges.
DVD Value: Overpriced for the amount of enjoyment I got out of it.
Recommend to others? A "Must Have"!
