Review of The Many Railroads of KC DVD

Kansas City is a major railroad hub. Most of the major roads in the past had run into the city. The same is true today, except the names have changed due to mergers. This program was filmed in Super 8 film with sound, by Jim Terrell and Ed Birch, Jr. They visited the "Gooseneck" or "Bottleneck", where three lines run over or under each other at the Kansas River bridges. Santa Fe Junction, 12th St. yard, Rock Creek Junction, Sheffield Junction and more. Trains from Santa Fe, Southern Pacific, Gateway Western, CNW, SOO Line, Burlington Northern and KC Terminal show up. Amtrak's River Runner is also shown as are steam excursions with Santa Fe 3751 and UP's 3985. One hour and thirty eight minutes, all color, sound in camera and maps.
