COMMENTS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS.........................

"Great stuff, I especially like the shots of the freight equipment. I also enjoy the train speeds and track conditions. The sound of the Alco's is great. I have four of your DVD's (the 3 Annies and one on Lake Boats). Thanks for producing them and I hope you have some more up your sleeves." E.W...VIRGINIA

FROM A REVIEW ON THE ANN ARBOR TECHNICAL SOCIETY WEBSITE... "Ann Arbor Alco fans will rejoice with the recent release of Vignettes Of The Ann Arbor Volume 3 by Clear Block Productions of Marion, Ohio. If you want to see classic footage of Ann Arbor FA-2's, Alco switchers, brand-spanking new GP35's and other vintage rolling stock all in operation, then you're going to want to add this DVD to your library! Clear Block's owner, Todd Miller, has done an excellent job of taking 16 mm film footage shot by our dear and late friend, Emery Gulash, and transferring it to DVD in both FULLSCREEN and WIDESCREEN formats Since the footage came with no sound, Todd had to dub in Alco and EMD sounds to match each scene (not an easy task!). I have to say Todd did an exceptional job with the sound and I believe you'll agree when you view it. It appears Emery took much of this footage during the era when the new GP35's were arriving and the FA-2's were leaving (early to mid 1964). Because of that, you'll see some trains powered by the new GP35's, but by far most of the program features the FA-2's. I found this DVD to be especially interesting because I never knew this era of the Ann Arbor and it kept me glued to my chair! You'll see Ann Arbor FA-2's in operation in Owosso (both the old and new yards), Durand, Howell, Ann Pere, Ann Arbor (Huron River bridge, the MC interchange and Ferry Yard), Milan, Dundee, and Manhattan Jct. in Toledo. At the Huron River bridge, you'll see a NYC passenger train heading towards Detroit. At Milan you'll see Wabash trains, geeps and cabooses intermixed with Ann Arbor trains. At Manhattan Jct., you'll see a PRR local (with two RS-3's!) running through the interlocking on it's way to D&TSL's Lang Yard. There are two pacing scenes that are sure to please; one between Corunna and Durand and another near Cohoctah. Ann Arbor Alco switchers are seen at Owosso and Ferry. You'll also see many Ann Arbor cabooses; both steel and wood in addition to foreign wood boxcars and wood reefers still in revenue service! Many of the newer DT&I cars (for that era) are seen as well. Last, but certainly not least, there's a glimpse of a very young Jim Hediger smiling for Emery's camera.

If you're an Ann Arbor fan, like 1st generation Alco diesels and want to see some vintage rolling stock and scenes along the Ann Arbor, then you're in for a real treat! ... J.S. INDIANA"
