In 2002, an all-new train exhibit was introduced. Both kids and grown-ups greeted it with great enthusiasm. The display shows the importance of railroads today by focusing on four major functions – intermodal transportation, passenger service, transporting grain, and moving raw materials.
Each of these stories is told by taking visitors on a 2200 scale-mile journey between Chicago and Seattle.
