The quality of the video is not up to professional standards but considering the equipment that was available during the time frame that the film was taken, it's acceptable. It is a typical railfan production and I don't mean that as a criticism. If you are a Southern Railroad fan, this DVD will make you extremely happy since half of the running time depicts the Southern. Some of the shots of the E-8's pulling the Crescent are great. Coverage of the RF&P is good showing trains all along the system. All in all, this is a pretty good DVD because all of the railroads are now gone and it's great to be able to see them in action again. I have already recommended this DVD to a couple of friends and in my opinion, it's worth the money.

Additional remarks by N&PBL 101:
Narration: There was no narration.
Would kids enjoy this? I doubt it.
Image quality: A little rough around the edges.
DVD Value: Good Value
Recommend to others? Yes.
