Review of The Panhandle Volume 3 Penn Central Conrail Buckeye to Pitcairn DVD

THE PANHANDLE - VOLUME III supplements Volumes I and II, which cover the Mainline from Columbus Union Depot to the PRR Depot in Pittsburgh. Volume III covers the freight facilities in both cities, going from Buckeye Yard and 20th Street in Columbus, to Pitcairn in Pittsburgh, and Conway Yard, by way of The River Branch. Also, many Alcos are seen in the Mingo-Steubenville area.

Filmed by Bob Sherwood and Paul Geiger during the 1970s, Volume III includes new footage of Penn Central and Conrail action between these two cities, and covers the start-up of the Columbus and Ohio River Railroad, the Shortline now operating The Panhandle between Columbus and Steubenville. Volume 3 covers the freight facilities in both cities, including Buckeye, Conway, and Pitcarin, and includes a trip up the River Branch between Mingo Jct and Rochester. 60 minutes - Color with sound and narration - DVD-r
