In volume 5 of the recent turned 10 year old Michigan Odyssey series, the program starts with crew member pat Tracy being interviewed as he joined Doyle McCormick and the 4449 team in 1978 about less than a year after the 1941 lima Ohio built northern finished pulling the American freedom train. The entire journey would be on the return trip from harve to Shelby in Montana after visiting the steam railroading institute in Owosso as well as being stored in the Minnesota twin cities for 2 months while Operating the Columbus day weekend trip that was sponsored by the friends of the Milwaukee road 261 which unfortunately during that time, the 1944 Alco built northern is down for its 1472 day inspection.
