Fall 2014 still saw a handful of 2-10-0s and narrow gauge steam survivors. Here you will join the crew for two rides aboard the "Kriegsloks", which had seen 70 years of rugged service - and one was being rebuilt. Sand helps the frequently slipping drivers to grip the rails as 2,000 tons of coal are moved. Semaphores and a 1930s-style signal tower complete the scene! Regular EMD diesels and electrics are also seen. Go for a diesel ride on a busy coal narrow gauge. Here also an 0-6-0 steam-er puts on quite a show with long cuts of coal cars at the unloader. See trams in Sarajevo as well as Zagreb, Croatia, and other highlights on and off the rails, in this land which underwent great turmoil a mere twenty years earlier.
TVD NOTE: This producer uses Litescribe discs and sometimes includes literature in the case. This literature sometimes rubs against printed side of the disc causing very light scratches. This does affect DVD play. |
