Review of Two Oceans Railway - Panama DVD

A New Chapter is being written in the very long story of transportation across the Isthmus of Panama. Now, in air conditioned luxury, executives and visitors travel between the Pacific and the Atlantic in under an hour. In little more time, containers zip through the jungle and pass great ships gingerly threading the Canal. Archival footage shows how the railways was crucial in construction of the Canal. 1960 film shows the old Panama Railroad, along with the 1914-era G.E. tow motors at Miraflores Locks. Video from 2003 allows you to hear from Panama Canal Railway president David Starling, and takes you on the locomotive. Ride both freight and passenger runs, observe sunset from the full dome, and meet the friendliest crew on rails. Marvel at the natural side of Panama with a visit to Canopy Tower, whose deck was fabricated from leftovers of the old railroad. The Pearl islands are also viewed. ALL ABOARD!!
