Review of Ohio Central - The Buckeye Route Amish Country Sugarcreek Ohio DVD

 3 of 5 (1)
Once again the haunting sound of a steam whistle reverberates across the rolling Amish farmlands. Four times daily (except Sunday, and diesel operation most Mondays), from May through October, patrons on the classic maroon coaches observe a way of life all but forgotten in the 1990s. Percherons and Belgians plow the fields. In fall, corn shucks line the right of way. Suddenly, our 1912-vintage ten-wheeler (4-6-0) does not seem out of place! In addition, you will ride the cab of #1551 - be part of a special retirement run to Dresden - enjoy a naturalist's view on a chartered train through the rocks and woods to Beach City - and sample a "Midnight Madness" high school prom extra! Plus freight activity, a quick look around Sugarcreek and a word from the president and founder of the line.
