Crossroads Park has welcomed railfans for over a quarter century. In 2017, the station, tower, and a few color position light (CPL) signals remained. The new Intermodal Transfer Yard is glimpsed in nearby North Baltimore. Then, the CSX Parade begins - with heavy downpours! Freights zip across the diamonds with gusto, or squeal slowly around wye tracks. You will see plenty of CSX power, plus N-S, CP, KCS, CITI and more. The sun eventually dominates, luring both residents and visitors to the Park until sunset greets one final eastbound. |
