"Piedmont and Northern - Volume Two"
Documents daily operations in the first half of 2015 from Gastonia to Mount Holly, NC and the end of the Patriot Rail era as designated operator by the NCDOT.
During this period, February to July 2015, trains are run only as needed. Most traffic is generated by a rail to truck transfer customer situated on "WS Lee" siding near McAdenville, NC.
On May 7, 2015, NCDOT approved a lease agreement with Iowa Pacific Holdings for rail service operations of Piedmont & Northern.
Program highlights include: Over 60 train run-bys. Stored AEX owned locomotives moved off line. New inbound business from NS in Gastonia opens that end of the line to more frequent runs. New operator inspects the property and the last day of Patriot Rail operations; July 30, 2015.
