Review of Memories of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Vols 1 & 2 DVD

LEHIGH VALLEY VOLUME I presents trains in action between Newark, NJ and Allentown, PA. You'll see freight and passenger trains powered by an interesting variety of first- and second-generation diesels in a variety of paint schemes, including the famous Snowbird white Alco C-628s. Highlights include:
LV passenger trains pulled by PRR GG-1 electric locomotives and the engine change at NK Tower in Newark, NJ, where the GG-1's were exchanged for Lehigh Valley Alco PA diesels
EMD diesels include F7, GP18 and GP38 models; Alco diesels include RS-3, RS-11, C420, C-628, PA and FA units

LEHIGH VALLEY VOLUME II was filmed on the main line between Bound Brook, NJ and Manchester, NY, with extended sequences at Sayre, PA and Geneva, NY. In addition to the diesel models shown in Volume I, you'll also see GE U23s and Baldwin switcher at work. As a special bonus, we'll visit Sayre in 1940, where a streamlined 4-6-2 and one of the road's famous Wyoming 4-8-4s are among the steam locomotive
