Review of Lionel Legends - The Hudson

 4.7 of 5 (3)
Lionel Legends, The Hudson The Making of the Scale Hudson
The scale Hudson, introduced in 1937, is the finest piece ever made by Lionel. Graced with meticulous detail, the Lionel Hudson combines scale model accuracy with mass production performance and economy.
In 1990, Lionel re-issued the scale Hudson. We tell the entire store – from blueprint stage to the zinc alloy casting to the final test run. Then we examine all the Hudsons, including the scale models, the rare gray 763 with gray coal tender, the fabulous OO gauge models, the Postwar 773, C&O Streamliner, gold-plated Hudson, and prototypes that never went into production. Also included are interviews with Dick Kughn, Lionel designers, builders, collectors, and operators, plus all-new footage that includes Lionel Hudsons through 2005 an vintage ads from Lionel's Model Builder magazine. Prepare to be amazed.
