Review of Early Diesels Vol 1 DVD

 5 of 5 (2)
This video contains a wealth of variety. First generation and some newer diesels are depicted in operation between 1987 and 1989. You'll see F-Units on freight and Passenger trains, Alcos on freight, GE 70-ton, GP7s and GP9s and ALCO FPA4s on Passenger trains. In addition we'll see some modern railroading for the time intertwined with the everyday operations of the older units. To find many of these historic diesels operating in the late 1980s is remarkable, and in fact many that were videotaped are no longer in existence, making this a historical video. The video takes us to the east in New England, and west to Colorado and Arkansas including 9 states and Canada. Here is a listing of what is included. Wyoming & Colorado RR FP7s on Passenger train, Louisiana & North West RR F7 on freight, Little Rock and Western RR Alco C420 on freight, Monon FP7s on Passenger from Indianapolis to Cincinnati (ex-Milwaukee Road), Southern Railway FP7s on passenger train (since sold), Bangor & Aroostook
