Watch the dramatic action of two big mainline steam engines operating side-by-side as the feature attraction of the 1991 NRHS convention in Huntington, West Virginia. You'll enjoy the incredible sight of Pere Marquette 2-8-4 #1225 on a passenger train, running pilot to pilot with a similar engine, Nickel Plate 2-8-4 #765. We covered the whole event which includes 1225 and 765 doubleheading on a freight from Lima to Cincinnati, from Cincinnati to Huntington on another freight along the CSX (former C&O), and the convention trips. Also in attendance was Norfolk and Western Class A #1218 which operated a round-trip excursion from Kenova to Portsmouth, Ohio, and another one from Kenova to Iaeger, West Virginia on the former N&W line. The side-by-side trip with 1225 and 765 is covered with scenes from 4 different videographers.
