Review of A Day at El Pinal California Including UP 844

 5 of 5 (1)
El Pinal is a railroad timetable location in Stockton California where Union Pacific's Sacramento Subdivision splits off from the Fresno Subdivision. On April 24th, 2009, we went out to El Pinal early in the morning to catch UP 844 departing Stockton, bound for Roseville.

Since we were already there, we decided to stay and record the action in this busy hotspot. The rest of the day featured a steady parade of Union Pacific freights.

See every train in its entirety!

This Special Edition episode in our "Day At" series also features bonus footage of 844 in other locations around California! See this magnificent 4-8-4 climbing over Altamont Pass, running along the shore of San Pablo Bay in Pinole, and participating in a ceremony commemorating the centennial of the completion of the Western Pacific mainline at the famous Keddie Wye!

Join us for a look at this busy railroad hot spot as we spend a day at El Pinal!
