Review of Alcos in the Corn Belt DVD

FEATURING: Alco diesels on the Kankakee Beaverville & Southern Railroad, and the Indiana Hi-Rail. This fascinating program was shot in the summer and fall of 1993. You'll see the rare RSD-15 alligators, plus numerous other vintage Alco locomotives including RS-11's, C-425's, C-420's, and a S-4. There's plenty of exciting action with mainline freight and yard switching. Plus a cab ride on RSD-15, #442. Watch as the hard-working Alcos of the KB&S and IHRC work the communities and grain elevators as they travel through the corn fields and prairies of Indiana and Illinois. You'll also see the connecting railroads of the IC/CSX/UP/CR. Plus a brief look at the Toledo, Peoria & Western Railroad.
