What there was of the material was well done, but the DVD is overpriced for what you get. The subject matter should have been provided an hour or even two hours and be more in depth. What would have been especially useful would have been a better deion of where the scenes were found and how the the producers found their way to them so that others could enjoy walking and getting the historical feel of those same areas. Even having grown up in the area (within a mile of the tracks) and with my father having worked on the railroad (as a maintenance of way contractor between Roseville and Truckee)during WWII, I have no idea where some of these scenes are located or how to get to them. If the producers went back and reproduced the DVD with more depth, more run time and location deion I would then heartily endorse this video.
Additional remarks by Suburban120:
Narration: Could have used more.
Would kids enjoy this? I doubt it.
Image quality: Excellent!
DVD Value: Overpriced for the amount of enjoyment I got out of it.
Recommend to others? Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter.
