This DVD is just packed with vintage action from my beloved Sacramento Northern. I used to live less than a mile from the Oakland hills tunnel portal, and for years never even knew about the SN. Once I found out, I became obsessed with learning more about it and exploring the surprisingly few artifacts left. The SN was once the longest electrified interurban in the country spanning from Chico, CA to San Francisco, CA.

This is a interesting production, I especially enjoy looking at the footage of pre WW-II San Francisco/Bay Area and comparing it to today. Thanks to this video, I know a lot more about Bay Area rail history. For example, I was completely unaware of the Sacramento Northern, or that it operated a ferry and went all the way to Chico. Thanks to this video, I decided to visit the Western Railway Museum in Rio Vista to see the interurban cars. Big fun and if you enjoy electric rail it is absolutely worth a visit.
