Visit the Western Pacific from both sides of the San Francisco Bay down to Niles Jct. and then on the San Jose branch and return to Niles Jct. for a ride through Niles Canyon.

Then from Altamont Pass we run to Stockton, Sacramento and all thegreat locations to Oroville. Oroville to Keddie brings more trains and great scenery. We run to Bieber on a freight and then return to Keddie to run to Portola. From Portola we ride locals to Reno and Loyalton. From there we review the run over the Great Basin Desert to Salt Lake City. See things that have been removed forever.

This ambitious project brings all vintage, color movie scenes shot by6 cinematographers in 8 and 16-mm film. See film shot in the CZ cab and on locals and freight trains. Lots of scenes shot from trackside and other points of view. This will bring you what it was like to work for a fine railroad. We feature many special maps made for this video, train sounds and informative narration.

All pictures are frames from the actual video!

This movie is a must for Western Pacific fans, but also shows some SP diesels. It shows the Bay Area as it used to be before the farm land was lost to housing. Also has a SP&S Alco cab ride.

Very informative historic look at the Western Pacific from mid 1960's to early 1970's. Video quality generally good, especially considering most was filmed 40+ years ago. Cabrides on the California Zephyer and a BN C425 on the Highline to Bieber, Ca. was a real treat to watch. Sound dubbing was also well done. Highly recommended.

A great DVD with excellent variety of all Western Pacific locomotives and rolling stock (passenger and freight).
Of all the Western Pacific DVD's I have watched, this is the best one yet. (a lot of footage I have not seen before).

A fallen flag gets some overdue attention. The previews on-line made me want this title. I'm glad I ordered it, especially with so much of it gone. Kids would probably enjoy the shots from the cab. Worth having if fallen flags are of interest.

The Western Pacific Remembered is a wonderful DVD. The cab rides were especially nice. It covers the Western Pacific in detail and love the map in this production.

Another excellent compilation from (in my opinion) a bit of a Master. The old footage may not be clear enough for some nit pickers but I found the whole DVD most interesting and informative.Look forward to more from this producer.

Image quality is not up to today's standards, but considering this was shot 40+ years ago, it's pretty darn good. When I got done watching it the first time, I sat there and watched it again! If you're a WP fan, you need this video!!!
