The New York, New Haven & Hartford - A & R ProductionsThe New Haven was a compact giant! It dominated the transportation industry in southern New England. A four track electrified main carried commuters to New York. High speed iron along the "Shoreline" moved named trains, like the "Merchant"s Limited", the "Senator" and "The Yankee Clipper" between Boston and New York. Freight moved from the west at Maybrook, car floats in the city and from the Boston and Maine at Worcester, MA. The New Haven rostered a wide variety of motive power. We bring you passenger and freight electric motors; steam, from moguls and ten-wheelers, to heavy mountains and 2-10-2"s, the fleet of pacifics and the handsome I-5; ALCO DL109"s, PA"s, FA"s and RS's, joined by GP-9"s, FL9"s and more as we tour the main and branches of this great railroad.
