Ahhh the infamous Garden State '88 NRHS Convention. I remember being six years old and seeing NKP 765 charging eastbound outside of West Trenton, NJ around this time - so I wanted to pick up a DVD that showed some of the convention excursions. I learned quite a lot from this production, as it highlights the good (and some of the bad) things that ended up happening here. Granted, there were other things that happened during the convention that I won't get into (Google will inform you otherwise) - but this DVD, featuring a young Rich Melvin in commentary, is a great one to pop in and re-live the days of mainline NRHS Convention steam. Will we see mainline steam trips again for future annual conventions? Never say never...
