With a great variety of mainline freight and passenger trains, from the past with the iconic F units in warbonet colors to the present generations of the 80s with blue & yellow units plus other road names such as the Southern Pacific due to the failed merger in 1985 for example, as well as a musical montage of still images, noteworthy NKP 765 engineer Rich Melvin did an outstanding job narrating this program. There is also some steam in still images and early diesel power in both still images & vintage films. At the exact end of this program, there were plans to release part 2 of this title but unfortunately it wasn't made. If you love Melvins narration, this is a nice companion to other programs from Hopewell productions & machines of iron. The synthesized music in this program is really interesting to hear as well. |
