| Being unfamiliar with Charles Smiley videos, I bought this video from Train Video Depot to get a sense of what their videos are like. All in all, this is a very nice presentation of 19 different DVDs. They are all west and midwest in nature (no east/northeast subjects).
The historical footage is good quality. Special note: many of the video samples are of the SP system. If you are an SP fan, then this preview would be to your liking. I felt I got a good sense of history of the SP just from this video alone.

| Have you ever being sitting around and questioned yourself about what would be a nice addition to the collection? Do you enjoy Charles Smiley as much as I do, and wonder which should be next? There are several titles that I don't own, so the time came to see what could be next.
Preview Video is a fine way to study and decide the next purchases. 19 clips of Charles Smiley's videos on one video, and at a really excellent price. Steam, diesel, electric's, locations throughout the American west. In the 1st 3 days of owning this video, I watched it 5 times. I was very impressed with the way it was put together. Maps are included. I did note however that a couple of videos are not on Preview Video, so as a result, I could not give it top ratings. However, I still highly recommend it to all video lovers for their collection. |
