This BluRay will show you many highlights of the canyon including: the famous bridges at Pulga, Clio Trestle, Serpentine Canyon, Williams Loop (where trains loop over themselves), and the famous Keddie Wye. 7idea Productions make train videos into a product worthy of cinema viewing. Even my wife watches their products. Fantastic. Scott Clark (Eagan, MN) on 2011-04-27 17:57:11.

Short and to the point...amazing locations and crystal clear HD video (Blu-Ray Version), as well as great narration adds up to a "Must Have" for railroad fans! mokenarr (Mesa Arizona) on 2012-08-23 11:48:52.
Just a super Movie. I have always thought as Pentrex as being the benchmark of the train world , well 7idea is equal to them on the ones I have seen. craigv on 2010-02-18 09:27:55.
Excellent photography, great effort to capture many angles. Thorough coverage of the trains and route. This is the best video about the Feather River route I have seen. While the route does not have heavy grades, they did a good job of capturing engine and train sound too. The narrator is excellent, but I would like to have the option of turning the narration off or on for subsequent viewings.
As a Blu-Ray and HDTV owner, I would love to see 7idea embrace that technology. Given their quality of sound and image, a high-definition (and widescreen version as with Marias Pass video) would add to the impressive quality of their products. Sam on 2009-10-16 18:46:13.
Simply as good as it gets! This is a quality A+ production. The imagery is just spectacular. I'm really quite impressed with 7Idea titles. I think they've got the art of the railroad video nailed down. And for those that have a widescreen TV, it's even that much better to have the entire screen filled.
If I was to nitpic, about the only thing I can find wrong is that the camera had quite a moderate bounce when trains went by. Not sure if this is the tripod, or spongy ground. I just don't recall ever seeing that much bounce in other DVD's. But it certainly doesn't detract from the show.
If you're into the Feather River, you need to have this one in your collection. |
