This is easily the most intelligent approach to introducing kids to trains that I've seen. These videos do a fabulous job of reaching kids where they are and really educating them. These videos should absolutely be in every video store across the country. Seriously.

Here is one of those fun loving type of videos, directed at kids. This video explains to kids the different equipment of the railroad, and safety about railroads and being near railroads. For the real serious rail fan, it may not be your idea of a great video, but for the kid in all of us, even adults will get some enjoyment from it. It is a teaching video, with a humour side of things to a bit. Well less than an hour, it is based on the attention span of kids and the value reflects the lessons in it. I would recommend it, but not necessarily as a high priory, pending if there are kids to watch it or not. My boys love it.
