Note: Cover image may differ from actual product

This is VHS footage shot a long time ago. The quality is good all things considered. The footage has been digitally captured, enhanced and mastered but you may see or hear a few minor audio/video glitches. Otherwise this is 3 hours of Conrail action at its prime!

Locations in New York include Selkirk, South Schenectady, Guilderland (Frenchs Mills), and more!

Locations in Massachusetts include Palmer, Worcester, Westboro, The Berkshires and more!

Our earliest footage also includes action in Southwest PA and Horseshoe Curve!

Many entire trains are shown, because if you're like me, it was so nice to see all those freight cars with no graffiti and from so many railroads that don't exist anymore!

A lot of Conrail action from an era where trespassing on railroad property was taken tongue in cheek. You could go almost anywhere unchallenged. I know I left many footprints all over the hill in these days. It was a great railroad that I miss. Kind of grainy images and shot without a tripod mostly but this is an era you don't see anymore. Narration was informative although annunciation of syllables seemed exaggerated and deliberate. Not smooth flowing like a Don Grant from C Vision Productions. One could learn a lot listening to his narrations..

Additional remarks by rrvideojunkie:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: A little rough around the edges.
DVD Value: Good Value
Recommend to others? Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter.

Totally agree with MEHSTRY. When I first started watching I was really disappointed, but then I remember the quality of the home camcorder eq in 86. The absence of graffiti was worth the bit of grainy production. Plus...you'll notice at the end (1991), the picture is improved. With all that....I'm still giving 4 stars. I miss Conrail Blue.

Remember when railroading had boxcars from railroads far and wide. This dvd has them. Remember no graffiti, almost doesn't seem possible, a whole dvd full of them. Somewhat grainy at the beginning, but the historical content makes this enjoyable to watch. Heck it even made me miss Conrail.
