This is a fabulous DVD that showed me a part of Canada I've never been to, but now would love to visit by rail. Excellently shot, well narrated, and a calmingly beautiful example of the most romantic countryside in our beautiful land. Thanks for coming north to document these natural areas of beauty. A must have for fans of nature. Curt

I recommend because the value and quality of the pack! But I need a make an observation about the Yellowhead Route material: the video is not much focused in the railroad; is more a "animal planet documentary"... The quality of the material in the other disks is very good!

Additional remarks by Roesler:
Narration: A little bit too much.
Would kids enjoy this? Yes.
Image quality: Good.
DVD Value: Excellent Value!
Recommend to others? Definitely.

Here is a great collection of videos that is produced in the heartland of the Canadian Rockies that all railfans need to see, and will enjoy for years to come. Several mountain passes, Yellowhead, Rogers, and Kicking Horse are featured. The operations of the Candian Pacific Railways, some Canadian National Railway operations, and VIA Rail Canada's the famous "Canadian" are seen, with added bonus appearances of the tourist trains... the Rocky Mountaineer, and the Royal Canadian Pacific with it's F-Units in command. Couple things of note... only one of the 4 is in Yellowhead Pass on the Canaian National Railway through beautiful Jasper National Park, and it is a winter video. The other 3 videos are all on Canadian Pacific's more southern route. Take note that "the Tracks of the Beaver" covers the same route of "Canadian Pacific Heart of the Rockies", and "Canadian Pacific's Mountain Sub and Rogers Pass". While there is an overtone here with the videos, the prospective is somewhat different. The viewer will take much enjoyment in all the videos. This could be one of the finest collections of videos from this region that anyone has produced. Then the price..... it can not be beaten by one, anywhere. The 4 combined is one of my favorites in my collection, and I highly recommend them to all.

This is another fine DVD and I'm real glad I decided to add this one to my DVD library as well. This is another of those 1st time purchases on railroading outside the western states (which is my preference) and it showed me a great deal about railroading throughout Canada that I wasn't aware of? This is an excellent quality DVD and has some absolutely amazing scenery. Even though I've had the opportunity to visit Canada, I had no idea the scenery in central Canada was so beautiful??? I strongly recommend this DVD for your collection and since I purchased it on sale... it was definitely an excellent value!

Our son received these videos years ago but he was so young and they got very scratched and ruined. We tried to find replacements on the manufacturers website only to find that they all about $20 a DVD. When my husband came across your site we were so happy that we could receive the 4 videos for just under $20 including shipping. Great site and bravo! I recommend these videos for Children who are passionate about trains.

Another excellent product from Highball, but its a pity that the music which runs throughout 'Tracks of the Beaver' and 'A Yellowhead Winter' cannot be muted without loosing the sound altogether.
