I thoroughly enjoyed EVERY segment of this video. The UP Silver Zone (on ex-Western Pacific rails) was footage from territory I've never seen on railfan video before. I never get tired of seeing the Ringling Bros/Barnum and Bailey Circus Train (but why does the Blue Unit have red livery?). And I never get tired of seeing the Alcos on the fallen flag Green Bay and Western. Railroads of Omaha is another segment that was quite unique, at least in my experience. Thanks, Pentrex!

Additional remarks by L. W. Shell:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Excellent!
DVD Value: Excellent Value!
Recommend to others? A "Must Have"!

If you want to know about going to the circus this year, you?re too late. The greatest show on earth is dead! All of the performers are retired and are having family reunions, the animals are going back to different parts around the world, and most important of all, the circus train have since been broken up into parts, donated to private owners, railroad museums, and going to be dead for scrap.

This best of Pentrex video contains a mix of Unique steam and diesel powered specials which are no longer with us today. Such As The Ringling Bros. Blue unit Circus Train, Mainline Freights on Silver Zone Pass, The Siskiyou line, and the Omaha Area. For steam lovers, only 3 engines are shown. Such as The Debut of the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad's Chinese engine 8419, Frisco 1522's worst excursion trip due to an overheating front truck as it got stranded on one of the BN Mainlines, and headed for a 3 day repair at Galesburg, plus Union Pacific 844 on one of the 3 Special trains for President Eisenhower's 100th birthday in Abilene Kansas, along with the Santa Fe Warbonets on one train, and The BN f-units on the other.
