2472 in Niles Canyon DVD TGS

California, a state with a population larger than the entire nation of Canada, yet a land area size of approx. 5% is a state where good transportation services are required. In this video, we see just that. Rail commuter service at it's finest, throw in some Amtrak service and rail freight service and we get one great video. ACE - Altamont Commuter Service is a must see, as trains make their way from Stockton to San Jose through the beautiful, scenic Altamont Pass and Niles Canyon. Starting with a bit of history in the region, watch as we follow a commuter train to San Jose. Lead by the grand chief of engines, the glorious F40PH's, and tri-level cars, these trains speed their way along the country side. We see freight action from the UP and BNSF, along with some shortline action. There are meets along the way which at to the interest. There is plenty of narration and natural sounds as the video plays. And for those who enjoy photographs, there is a bonus at the end of the video. This is one of the finest videos made on the operations of rail commuter service anywhere, by anyone. The producers of TSG Multimedia, John Abatecola and Daniel Cortopassi, need to be commended for an excellent and great production. This video should be a "must have" for all rail fans.
